Penalty points extension active from today
01/06/2003 - 09:27:49Minister Seamus Brennan's extension to the penalty points system comes into effect today to include motorists who are driving without insurance.
Gardaí will impose five penalty points on the licenses of those caught driving without insurance from today onwards.
This and speeding are as yet the only two offences included in the system.
