Hospital bed cutbacks hit Kerry

Tralee General Hospital in Kerry has become the latest hospital to suffer from bed cut-backs.

From this weekend, the hospital has closed 30 beds for the duration of the summer.

The temporary closure of the beds, which are spread around all sections of the facility, was announced by the Southern Health Board in April as part of a range of cost-cutting measures.
