Pharmaceutical lays off 70 workers
28/05/2003 - 15:57:34A German pharmaceutical firm has announced plans to lay off 70 workers in Shannon, Co Clare over the next two years.
Schwartz Pharma said the lay-offs were necessary to facilitate the movement of its operations wing to Germany.
The company currently employs 250 people in Shannon, where it has been since 1976.
