Housebuilding reaches record levels
12/05/2003 - 13:02:00The number of houses and apartments built last year reached record levels, according to the latest annual housing statistics bulletin.
House completions were up almost 10% on the previous year with just over 57,000 properties built.
Ireland now has the highest rate of housebuilding in Europe with more houses built in the greater Dublin area in 2002 than ever before.
