Labour call on Walsh to intervene in agriculture dispute

The Labour party is calling on the Minister for Agriculture to intervene in the ongoing dispute between the department and agriculture officials.

The party's spokesperson on agriculture, Mary Upton, said that essential services are being disrupted by the present dispute.

The dispute surrounds the lack of response by the department to the officers' demands to have their promotional opportunities improved.

Deputy Upton maintains that Minister Joe Walsh needs to act responsibly.
