FG: Dempsey should explain closures
04/05/2003 - 18:25:56The Minister for Education is being called on to come clean about the closure of three education centres around the country.
The call comes after a report published by the department last week.
It recommended that three training-education centres in Kildare, Kilkenny and Sligo be closed.
Fine Gael's spokesperson on Education, Olwyn Enright, says Minister Dempsey has to have long-term plans for education in this country.
The Fine Gael spokesperson wants the Minister to clarify why the education sites have been earmarked for closure.
