Sir Alex Ferguson admitted his Manchester United side had no answer to the 'best player in the world' in the Bernabeu Stadium.
Ferguson jokingly suggested he would prevent Raul from entering England in a fortnight's time when United will try to overcome a 3-1 first-leg deficit to Real Madrid.
The Spain striker scored either side of the interval as the holders strode to victory in the Champions League quarter-final tie.
While claiming the goal Ruud van Nistelrooy snatched back after the home side had cruised into a three-goal advantage at least provided his side with a 'ray of light' for the second game, Ferguson virtually admitted the nine-times European champions had been too good for his team.
"Raul is so difficult to play against when he starts taking up the positions he did here," said Ferguson.
