McGuinness angry about Mallon comments on policing
27/03/2003 - 17:51:13Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness is reacting angrily to remarks by former deputy first minister Seamus Mallon about Republicans attitude towards the North's Police Board.
Mr Mallon had suggested elections to a new assembly should be delayed until Sinn Fein agrees to back the board.
But these comments have provoked an angry response from McGuinness.
He said: "Seamus Mallon's suggestions that Sinn Fein's endorsement of the policing arrangements should be a precondition for the re-establishment of the institutions I think is a disgrace."
