Owen Heary shot home an 87th minute winner to put Shelbourne two points clear at the top of the table.

Stephen Geoghegan put Shels in front on 16 minutes after UCD keeper Barry Ryan failed to hold his first shot.

UCD battled back and deservedly levelled two minutes before the break when Clive Delaney arrived at the back post to head home Darragh Ryan's free kick.

Sean Finn scored a stunning free kick to restore UCD's lead on 73 minutes.

But Kevin Doherty levelled four minutes later when heading home Pat Fenlon's corner.
