Rescue underway after emergency call
08/04/2001 - 13:37:04There is a rescue operation currently underway off the Donegal coast, after
an emergency call was made from a French fishing vessel earlier today.
A helicopter from the Finner Camp is on its way to the vessel, which is positioned
some 15 miles Northwest of Blacksod.
The call was made when a 47-year-old crewman on board the fishing trawler
suffered head injuries.
He will be airlifted to Sligo General Hospital.
