27/09/2006 - 15:07:28Charges of driving without a licence in Hawaii were dropped against Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje after his attorney’s proved the actor has a licence.
London-born Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Mr Eko in the drama, had been arrested early this month for disobeying a police officer and driving without a licence.
Following his arrest, he spent about six hours in jail before being released on £250 bail.
The case was dropped yesterday, broadcaster KITV-TV reported.
The 39-year-old actor plays a former African drug lord who has taken on the identity of a priest.
He is the third cast member of Lost to be arrested for traffic violations in Hawaii, where the series is shot.
In December 2005, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested for drunken driving. They were arrested in separate cars within 15 minutes of each other. Both pleaded guilty.
