Simpsons are here to stay

The Simpsons will be screened until at least 2008, as US broadcast network Fox have commissioned another two series.

The show, currently in its 17th season, is the longest-running prime-time entertainment show in America.

And creator Matt Groening insists the much-loved series will continue long into the future.

He says: "I don't see any end in sight. I want to get to 366 (shows) so we have one for every day of the year, including leap year."
