DUP leader Ian Paisley has decided to defend his Westminster seat in the upcoming British election, despite his apparent failing health.

The 78-year-old has represented North Antrim in the House of Commons for the past 35 years.

Accepting the DUP's nomination for the constituency yesterday, Mr Paisley launched another attack on republicans, accusing them of never being sincere about the peace process.

He claimed the DUP was the only party standing up to Sinn Féin and told republicans: "Ulster is ours and will remain ours."
