Santa's Kingdom collapses

A popular Christmas attraction in Punchestown Racecourse collapsed today, putting two people in hospital.

The ceiling of Santa’s Kingdom fell in and two employees were taken to the Naas hospital, gardaí said.

Although the Grotto was open to the public at the time it is believed no one else was hurt.

The Santa’s Kingdom adventure lasts two hours and includes a mystical tunnel leading to a snow cave, snow slides and a workshop.

The place was evacuated and remained closed for the rest of the evening.
